How to make Lentil Walnut Veggie Burgers Video. Veggie Burgers are a nutritional alternative to beef burgers. Many people don’t think of making their own veggie burgers but they are really easy to make at home. Store bought veggie burgers are nutritional but often very high in sodium and preservatives. You can substitute the eggs in this recipe with “flax eggs” which are a mix of 6 tbsp ground flax to 2 tbsp boiling water. The milk in this recipe can be substituted with either soya milk or rice milk. This makes the recipe completely vegan! Lentils are high in fiber which makes them a good protector against bowel cancer. I recommend organic, low sodium lentils if you are buying canned. They are an excellent source of protein and are an important source of B vitamins, especially B3, which is essential for both a healthy nervous system and digestive system. They are high in iron, zinc and calcium and are a good replacement for red meat. Like meat, the iron in lentils is better absorbed when they are eaten with a good source of vitamin C like leafy green vegetables. Walnuts are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, a special type of fat that is essential for our bodies, but that the body cannot produce. (Re omega 3 see also flaxseeds.blogspot.com ) Walnuts are also a very good source of monounsaturated fats. Walnuts contain many powerful antioxidants, including ellagic and gallic acids, pus antioxidant phenols and vitamin E. The minerals copper and manganese are also

to the vegan crowd. you can sub out the eggs for cooked rice. over cook the rice so it becomes almost paste like. also milk is a pointless add on. soy works well also mash the lentils with the rice.

Try an Egg Replacer the one I use is called Ener- G Its 2 main Ingerdients are potato starch, Tapioca flour. For baking I use a real ripe bananna or apple sauce instead of an egg. Avoid Soy milk, if you do some comparision homemade almond milk or homemade hemp seed milk it quite easy to make and are alot better for the body. I like this video.

MyMissySissy says:

No, because while I feel like you’re making a joke, it flew over my head. So i’m not agreeing to anything. Regardless, I felt the need to correct your grammar because it was such a painfully annoying mistake.

PsychopoisonXproton says:

So you admit it!

JOHNNYSxMONKEY says:

How about extremely underpaid farmers? That’s pretty cruel. And please don’t say anything about fair trade or organic because really, most farmers don’t even know their products are being sold as organic or fair trade, nor have any idea what fair trade is.
Unless you buy everything from a local farm or grow it yourself, of course.

wutwutlmao says:

What can we use to replace the eggs? Cause a true veggie burger does not include eggs…

David Munoz says:

I assume you are being sarcastic, because you would add lentils and and even seeds like sunflower seeds, along with veggies that would be the healthiest it could be! and it would taste great.

GirlDreamer90210 says:

O_O No egg, no milk, no meat, just veggie. I don’t know if that’s considered healthy
